TRASH REMOVAL DURING FEDERAL SHUTDOWN
To address outward impacts of the 2019 federal government shutdown, Keep America Beautiful and its local affiliates across the nation assisted the National Park Service in garbage and litter removal activities.
Keep Golden Isles Beautiful organized volunteers to perform these duties at Ft. Frederica National Monument and Bloody Marsh National Historic Site, and stands ready to provide these services again for our local federal entities should the need arise.

Duties: trash can and recycle bin servicing; grounds litter removal (no littering occurred during this time)

24 returned volunteer liability waivers

13 volunteers actually assisted with trash/recycling servicing duties

5.25 volunteer hours (not counting drive time to and from sites)

15.25 trash cans serviced for a total of 305 pounds

5 recycle bins serviced for a total of 120 pounds
