May 19th Causeway Cleanup Planned, VOLUNTEERS NEEDED


BRUNSWICK, GA (May 03, 2024) – Keep Golden Isles Beautiful, the City of Brunswick, Glynn County Government and the Torras Foundation are planning a May 19th FJ Torras Causeway cleanup from end to end and seek volunteer help. The event is Sunday, May 19th at 3PM.

 

Volunteers ages 18 and up are needed to lend a hand in this cleanup in preparation of the summer Causeway Centennial Celebration. Volunteers will be divided into 5 groups and assigned a 3PM meeting location where they will sign in, receive direction and get supplies. Volunteer meeting locations will be assigned prior to the cleanup.

 

“We are counting on the Golden Isles community to volunteer for this ambitious cleanup,” said Keep Golden Isles Beautiful executive director Lea King-Badyna. “Pre-registration is a MUST and we encourage civic organizations, businesses, churches and the general public to rally in this effort.”

 


ALL CLEANUP SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Bug Spray, Sunscreen, Long Sleeves, Hat/Cap, Close Toe Shoes RECOMMENDED.
